Tip for Snowball fighting
With the new availability to save templates and builds i recommend that most of you try and get a ranger as a secondary profession and build up a pet in the last few hours before the fighting begins this will mean if you go in with a charm animal skill your animal will come into the fights and serves as a great distraction so if everyone uses this i hope it will balance the game and will maybe make people think about the game more raising pet attributes etc and also good luck all participating in the snowball fights and i hope to see you there lol sorry a.net for posting this exploit
Unless they patch it up

I believe they did patch it up which explains why most people lost their pets during the Dragon Festival PvP game.

I'm pretty sure that didn't work last year either.
(Although, I find it funny. Instead of antebellum whining, we have antebellum exploiting!)

They might bring it back though it wasnt a bug last time it just made the game more cool.. if they do bring it back and everyone does this it shows that the community of the game is smart and for arenanet to patch it up will annoy me and also maybe they have not even touched the old snowball games the dragon one sucked compared

If I remember correctly the skill bars are set for you when you enter the match. So any builds you have going into the match are overwritten by the wintersday skill bars for the fight.

It worked last year all you needed was charm animal and then you suddenly had a pet in the game it was great could block people from running unless they killed it

The skills are overwritten but if you had the pet the pet would stay, just like haveing 2 elites or overidding the carm animal with a celestial skill.

Being smart and cheating are two different things. You don't need to be smart to run what other people tell you to. We see that all the time in touch rangers who OOB them selves to death.

Make sure you a Wa/R build, then you can sploit the pet and rune of absorbtion at the same time and get 2x the benefit.
I hope they delay the wintersday thing until both of these are eliminated.

Elementalists, Monks, Ritualists, and Warriors are good here. Their profession specific skills have nice effects.
